dystopia 2.0 is a mixture of industrial metal and synth pop that takes the band into new territory. The music combines industrial beats and synth melodies with heavy guitar riffs. This is also the first release that features Alma, their new guitarist.
"When we started working on the EP I found myself writing it like a concept album or a musical with recurring musical themes and it's more or less just one long track cut up into three. I also found that they all had one thing incommon - they were all dealing with the feeling of being abandoned in different ways.
The title of the EP is inspired by how the 50's used to paint futuristic dystopia in literature and movies. Now we got the covid pandemic, climate change and threats of World War 3 while the world is slowly getting more wrapped up in tech, AI and self-driving vehicles. I wanted to use that title to document what my view of it all was in 2022 when all these things we're going on at once."
